Randjesfontein Roots primary cooperative 

Randjesfontein Roots Primary Cooperative was established in 2021 with the support of Siyakhana Growth and Development NPO and formally registered with CIPC in March 2022. The Cooperative’s main objective is to establish a viable farming urban enterprise which can create and sustain jobs. The establishment of the Cooperative was informed by identifying the  gap in food insecurity, skills shortage and high levels of unemployment in our communities. 

The Cooperative is currently funded by the Oppenheimer Generation Foundation and the urban farm is situated on their property in Randjesfonte
